Hi,
A new package, lr-20001211.tar.gz, has been uploaded on
http://www.logreport.org/pub , the LogReport website's download area. This
package features:
log2dlf converters for:
apache logs (common, referer as well as combined logs)
sendmail logs
postfix logs
qmail logs
bind8 query logs
ipfilter logs
These converters can be combined with report engines for email, www and bind,
to generate human readable information from the raw logfiles. The software now
uses GNU automake and autoconf; therefore, installation is much simpler than
in our first release. Furthermore, there is no 'scheduler' any more (some of
you might remember this program), which results in a more lean overall design.
Finally, manpages and documentation have been added, and a lot of bugs have
been fixed.
You are invited to download the software, and try it for yourself. However,
please note this is still a beta release.
The LogReport organisation currently offers the following online report
responder services:
log at apachecommon.logreport.org
log at bind8.logreport.org
log at postfix.logreport.org
log at qmail.logreport.org
log at sendmail.logreport.org
If you don't feel like installing the logreport software, you can simply sent
your logfile to one of these addresses; you'll get a report back in some
minutes. Refer to the responder section of our website,
http://www.logreport.org/online_responder.phtml, for more information.
Looking forward to your interest in our software and responder,
Bye,
Joost
