I just did a quick test by upgrading from the supplied RedHat 9.0 RPM,
and it worked just fine.
One note for future releases (note that RedHat 9.0 support is formally
ending by April 30): installation of the RH 9.0 RPM on a Fedora Core 1
system fails due to the dependency specified in the RPM on perl-DB_File.
This is not visibile as a separate component anymore in the FC1 distro,
but bundled with the perl rpm. Rebuilding the RPM with the perl-DB_File
dependency dropped from the lire.spec fixed the problem for me (if you
like, you can pick up the RPM from
http://yum.nlnet.nl/fedora-core-1/local/noarch/lire-1.5-2.noarch.rpm ).
