Excellent!  Thanks a lot!  I am about to leave for vacation, so won't
have time to look closely at it.  As you have seen on the development
list, the dlf interface is changing now.  However, after a first glance
at your scripts, I don't think they would have to change very drastically.

I added the scripts to the lire cvs, they are publicly available
from 

 http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/logreport/service/all/script/dlf_sort-n-limit.in

and

 http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/logreport/service/all/script/dlf_resolve.in

O, btw, I doubt wether it's wise to resolve ip addresses after the fact,
i.e. while processing an allready written log, as you do in dlf_resolve.
The dns might have changed after the log got written.  I am in favor
of not changing the logdata.  But this is - at least partly - a matter
of taste.

If no commiter tests and integrates the scripts in the lire cvs before
the end of July, I will.
