File usage ?

Dear all,
 
I plan to add service pop3 and imap (from courier-imap) to superservice
email.
 
I think that I will adapt from postfix service but after a brief look in
source I would like to have some explaination :
What is for theses files :
postfix2dlf
postfix2dlf.1 (espacelly this one, look strange...)
postfix2dlf.in
 
Which is the main one ?
