No, but I don't think its a wise thing to do to update now.

Edwin: are you sure that DocBook 4.1.2 isn't present also on the system.
Because it would be really stupid on FreeBSD's part to install only the
newer version of the DTD, most Linux distro also ships the old ones.

What do they expect, that all documents magically change the DTD they
are referencing?

If they think that "well, 4.2 is totally compatible with 4.1.2...", then
they just have to patch the thing at the catalog level. (Make the 4.1.2
public and system identifier points to the new DTD).
