Sorry to have been so long to reply, but I was on holidays !!! this could
be considered as a good reason, and as usual a huge amount of mail to be read
and some to be answered.
In order to produce logs that could be parsed by s1ms2dlf SunONE store have
to be configured as followed in option.dat file:
! VERSION=1.0
! Modified by IMS administration server on: Wed Aug 28 17:04:15 CEST 2002
!
! Uncomment out the next 5 lines to enable Direct LDAP mode
!ALIAS_MAGIC=8764
!ALIAS_URL0=ldap:///$V?*?sub?$R
!USE_REVERSE_DATABASE=4
!REVERSE_URL=ldap:///$V?mail?sub?$Q
!USE_DOMAIN_DATABASE=0
MISSING_RECIPIENT_POLICY=1
ALIAS_DOMAINS=6
LOG_MESSAGE_ID=1
LOG_MESSAGE=1
LOG_PROCESS=1
LOG_LOCAL=1
LOG_CONNECTION=5
LOG_FILENAME=1
LOG_FORMAT=2
LOG_USERNAME=1
You could play with these logging parameters and see how log files could be
quite different. Arnaud Taddei have started a very interesting document about
these different logs.
In exemple, if you don't set LOG_USERNAME=1, most of the log information will
be left shifted against expectations, but there is quite no way to discover
easily such a simple case.
I will try to find some time next week to send all the jobs I've done to
the logreport team. It has always been postponed due to fixed some bugs or
adding some enhancements. Now that log converters are running in production
mode for a significant time I consider them as validated.
All modifications have been tested on lire-1.2.1 release, but as far as
I have created patches to merge the lire release and my enhancements I
guess it could work with lire-1.3
