(LIRE) email DLF format redesign?

Hi,

I have read in some old archived posts to this list that a redesign of the
email DLF format is being considered. I am referring to the idea of making
the DLF format more like the actual logs themselves, whereby each state
change will appear separately in the DLF (instead of the converters waiting
for a full delivery to succeed or fail, for example). I think also Arnaud
Taddei had proposed this.

My organisation is interested in using Lire for our log analysis needs.
Specifically regarding email logs though, what we need is exactly what was
proposed, rather than the current way of handling them. So my question to the
list is: what is the status of this proposed change, what are the technical
problems that need to be solved for this to happen?

Partly, my reason for asking is because, if the changes are feasible and make
sense for the Lire project, we would consider contributing our efforts
towards this end.

Thank you,
