Perhaps the interface at SF is broken or something...

We indeed haven't released any CVS snapshots for a long time.

You could also check documentation, or help with the website.  All
website stuff is in CVS too.  Helping answering questions on this list
and on -questions is helpful too.  Joining the IRC channel and answering
questions there helps too.
