Thanks a lot for these patches; this is very much appreciated!

I'll test the stuff and once passed, will commit it to our CVS.  Expect
this within about a week.  Once that's done, I'll probably ship another
Lire prerelease, so that this work is easily available for others.

I believe your patch is against the 2.0.1 code.  Did you happen to try
to apply it to the just released 2.0.2?  Or perhaps against current lire
code in CVS on SourceForge?
