| | Debian packages are now available from
| | http://download.logreport.org/pub/debian/ ; the main binary package is
| | at http://download.logreport.org/pub/debian/lire_2.0.2.99.2-1_all.deb .
|
| Fedora rpms in a yum-able environment are now also available,
| from the usual RPM location:
|
| http://download.logreport.org/pub/rpm/fedora/7
| http://download.logreport.org/pub/rpm/fedora/8
|
| See also http://download.logreport.org/pub/rpm/fedora/README.fedora
|
| | It'd be cool if someone could test it and give feedback, so that I can
| | wrap up a 2.0.3 soonish.
|
| Will do ...

I've exercised the new RPM in my regular environment, and found no
regressions.
But I've also upgraded the ploticus package to the current upstream version
(2.40) and this revealed a small problem: the ploticus executable 'pl'
expects the environment variable PLOTICUS_PREFABS to be set pointing to the
appropriate directory. In previous releases this could be compiled in,
but not so in 2.40.
In my opinion this should be solved in the ploticus package, and not in the
lire package (how could lire know where to find the standard ploticus
prefabs?), so I've created a small shell wrapper for it in the Fedora rpm.
But I am wondering how this is dealt with in the Debian environment (where
ploticus is installed from the standard repositories I think?). Or is Debian
still running with the old 2.33 version of ploticus?
