I just tried this on the FreeBSD system, and things seemed to go
a little better. I now have a number of things installed under
/usr/local/logreport/*, and now I have to go figure out how to try
them all out.

So, we've now improved the situation so that we at least appear
to be batting 50/50. ;-)
