You should be able to do things like

 $ export LR_HOME=/usr/local/logreport
 /usr/local/logreport/bin$ zcat /var/log/maillog.2.gz | \
  ./lr_log2report email sendmail > /tmp/sendmail.report

now. More examples are in the README file. Have fun!

BTW, I just fixed some bugs, especially in the sendmail part. I'll
do an upload this week.
