We haven't forgotten about this request.  Egon just started working on it.
The first scripts have been commited to the -HEAD branch of the Lire cvs.
A Lire release will be build from it at about the end of september.
(If everything works out as planned, we'll ship a Lire release, build from
the -stable cvs branch (without the ftp code) at the end of this month.)
