lr_log2mail and non-text outputs

I've just started playing around with lr_log2mail, trying to send myself pdf
reports.  When I get the report, it comes in as a text/plain email message
containing the raw pdf goo.  Am I doing something wrong, or is appropriate
mime encapsulation just something on a todo list somewhere?
