OK, it's actually much stranger than I had originaly thought.  It probably
has nothing to do with GD itself, because if I do an html report, the
graphics come out fine.  It's only when I do a pdf report that the graphics
come out munged.  I'm attaching the correct-looking png from the html output
and a cut-n-paste jpeg of the same graphic from the pdf.  Any thoughts on
where this might be getting messed up?

Great to hear that iptables will be there.  Maybe if I get some time free I
can try my hand at writing a parser for Cisco PIX logs too, since that's the
only other firewall I ever really look at the logs for...

It's also definitely great to hear you're doing proxy as a separate
superservice.  It really should be and far too many log file analyzers look
at it as just a web server log.
