Hi Francis,
Thanks for the tip, that worked great except this time as the reports had
almost finished being generated , I got a core dump:
ll postfix lr_tag-20021221192839-6141 lr_xml2report info started with
/home/ftp/src/rsl59/tmp/lr_log2report.postfix.lr_tag-20021221192839-6141.report.xml

for debugging.
smpd9$ ls -l

drwxr-x--- 2 u752359 staff 3072 Dec 21 19:54 tmp
smpd9$
I managed to recreate the problem by doing:
smpd9$ lr_run lr_xml2report
../../rsl59/tmp/lr_log2report.postfix.lr_tag-20021221192839-6141.report.xml
smpd9$ ls -l
-rw-r----- 1 u752359 staff 51168543 Dec 21 19:28

-rw-r----- 1 u752359 staff 403964 Dec 21 19:54
lr_log2report.postfix.lr_tag-20021221192839-6141.report.xml
I'm not sure what the problem was, but I can fairly definitely say it wasn't
permissions or space.
I had a quick look at the core file and it contains a lot of entries saying:

All I can think of is there might be a maximum size limit on the log file
you can run log2report on?
Thanks for your help,
Best Rgds,
Ed.
