DocBook XML V4.1.2 DTD detection

What Linux distribution are you using? Where are the DocBook DTDs and
XSL stylesheets are installed on that distribution? Did you install
the distribution packages or did you install these components
yourself?

Anyhow, you can hint ./configure on where to find these files through
environment variables:

DBK_XML_DTD=/path_to_/docbookx.dtd \
DBK_XSL_STYLESHEETS=/path/to/docbook-xsl-1.76.1 \
./configure ...
