No/incomplete index.html file generation when images requested

I have just installed V 1.2.1 on RHL 7.2.  I believe I have all 
prereqs.  A text or html run against my mail log works great.  When I 
add the -i flag the index.html file is empty. When I switch to -o 
html_page, the index page has the table of contents but no images.  The 
images  are generated as separate .png files in both cases.  The run 
log doesn't have anything it that looks like an error.

I don't have the GD::Graph module installed yet.

Suggestions?
