Lire has a problem with local sendmail system (was: Re: LIRE ERRORS)

Because your sendmail has problems.  See if

 date | /path/to/your/sendmail joe at some.email.adres

works.  If this fails (I guess it will), the problem is not a Lire
problem, but a problem with your system.
