On what kind of system are you trying to install Lire? If it's
GNU/Linux, which distribution and version? Did you run ./configure?
Which arguments did you give to ./configure, if any?
When running make, it should not try to run automake-1.4, so something
went wrong. Have you "modified some files", as the installer asks you?
