the workaround (was: Re: lr_log2report causes bus error/core dump on Solaris 9 ...)

Hi Lire-on-Solaris users,

I guess I've found a workaround for the reported problems.

I am getting more confident my guess was right. Some googling yields:

 http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/tktview?tn=700,15

and

 http://use.perl.org/comments.pl?sid=22279&cid=34179

"The workaround for this is to compile DBD::SQLite2 without the optimize
flag in solaris".

Hrm: we now have _two_ issues with using Lire on Solaris:

 - Lire fails to build with Solaris Make. (Updating the Lire build system
to a newer automake will likely solve this). Workaround: use GNU Make.
 - DBD::SQLite2 is buggy on Solaris

Guess this should (at least) get documented somewhere.

Bye,

Joost
