Can't Select file with Curses UI

Anytime I try click on a file in the curses UI I get a message about 
"Use of uninitialized value  in concatination (.) or string at ... 
FileBrowser.pm line 393"

I get the same thing with DirBrowser as well.


Anyone have any ideas.  make test works for the Curses::UI Cpan module.  
This is a redhat es 2.1 box running lire 2.0.1
