Problems with syslog parsing

Good morning,

I'm an absolute newbie, so I apologize first if this is a stupid question.

I want to analyze the logs of a program, which is self-written, but has the same format as the syslog logfiles. If I manually call the lr_log2report - command, it works perfect. But if I want to use it with al Dlf-store, nothing happens. Not even an entry in the syslog, altough I changed the lr_logging_method. I wonder what I do wrong. Of course I know that lire does not support all logfiles, but why does it work in one way and not in the other ?
If some information is missing, please tell me, I will deliver it as soon as possible
