exim log analysis

Hi there,
I recently spoke to joostvb in the #logreport irc channel on freenode
about the situation I am trying to deal with.
Basically our company runs two debian servers with exim, spamd and
clamd. The services upon these servers are sold to our customers as a
no hassle solution to "pre-process" their corporate email for viri and
spam. The systems works on a round robin dns, so each server receives
roughly an equal load of mail, this obviously generates two separate log
files.
Our customers have requested some kind of statistics for this service.
This is where I have encountered problems. All the current log parsing
solutions for exim are excellent for example your software, Lire or the
built in perl script eximstats. The problem is none of the software
really comes close to what I want it to do.
Because all the customers accounts pass through the same servers, I
cannot simply generate statistics for "all email" I have to sort it per
receiving domain so I can show each company virus and spam statistics
for their own email. This isn't helped by the fact that I have two
separate log files to parse!
I'm not a very strong programmer and I'm at a loss as of where to start.
Any help/advice/suggestions you could possibly give would be greatly
appreciated!
Thank you for your time
Kind Regards,
Tom Northeast
